Package 1Day 1 - NairobiThis morning you arrive into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. After clearing customs and immigration, you will be met by our safari representative and transferred to the Grand Regency Hotel in the Heart of Nairobi. The hotel has a beautiful garden setting with a pool, two restaurants, boasting a fine atrium and is Nairobi's finest Hotel's. In the early afternoon you will be met at the hotel and depart on an afternoon tour of the beautiful Karen area. Visit the giraffe center, the Karen Blixen museum and perhaps stop at the Kazuri Bead Shop. You'll return to your hotel in the late afternoon in time for a sundowner cocktail on the terrace. ( Meals on your own today ) Overnights at Grand Regency HotelDays 2&3 - Tsavo National Park West This morning after an early breakfast you'll depart by road for the legendary land of the Maneaters - Tsavo. A diverse and vast park with altitudes ranging from 500 - 6000ft, and an area of 9,065 sq. kms, this wilderness supports large numbers of game including elephant, rhino, lion, huge herds of buffalo, giraffe and a variety of plains game to name a few. Your lodge for the next two nights is known for its magnificent setting in the heart of the Park with views of the Chyulu Hills and the snowy peaks of Kilimanjaro. Each room has a private verandah overlooking the waterhole and Mt. Kilimanjaro. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Park. Overnight at Camp FrangipaniDays 4&5 - Amboseli National Park After breakfast you will depart by road through the back side of Tsavo south to the Amboseli plains and Amboseli National Park. The roads may be bumpy and dusty but the scenery is spectacular. Your home for the next two nights is the Tree Tops Lodge. Built in the style of a Tribal Village on stilts, this comfortable lodge enjoys one of the best game-viewing locations in the Park. From the comfort of the dining terrace you can watch animals come down to the swamp to drink. You will have morning and afternoon game drives in this beautiful park known for it's enormous elephant population and other big game that is attracted to the area by underground springs fed from Mt. Kilimanjaro. In the early afternoon you will be met at the hotel and depart on an afternoon tour of the beautiful Ngong area. Visit the Ostarich Park and then a cultural highlight at The Bomas of Kenya and perhaps stop at the Kazuri Bead Shop. You'll return to your hotel in the late afternoon in time for a sundowner cocktail on the terrace and dinner at the famous Nyama Choma Ranch, where you can feed on girrafe and deer amongst other wildlife! Overnights at Grand Regency HotelDays 2 to 4 - Maasai Mara National ParkDrive north today through the high wheat fields of Timau, then down into the arid, thorny landscape of Samburu country. The Ewaso Ngiro river is the only permanent source of water in the area, and supports an amazing array of wildlife. The Narok region is known for it's northern species of game you won't see elsewhere, like the Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali Ostrich, long-necked gerenuk, and dainty dik dik, as well as some of the most beautiful birdlife in Kenya. You'll also see herds of elephant, plains game and their predators - especially cheetah. The backdrop of rocky outcrops and prominent mountain ranges to the north, and the doum palms and riverine forest create a spectacle to behold. Your accommodation is at Larsen's Camp, a luxury permanent tented camp, on the riverbank under of canopy of giant yellow acacias. You'll have morning and afternoon game drives in this exotic reserve. Overnights at Sarova LodgeDays 5 to 7 - Tsavo East National ParkThis morning after breakfast you'll depart with your driver/guide for Kenya's renowned Tsavo East. The scenery is stunning, and you'll pass many villages and such en route to make the sometimes bumpy drive worth-while. You'll arrive at Keekorock Lodge in time for lunch and a rest, before setting out in the afternoon to begin your exploration of the famed African savannah. Over the next two days you'll have morning and afternoon game drives, and you'll see more wildlife than you ever thought possible. In the Tsavo, you'll witness the interaction between the animals more than anywhere else. With just a little luck you'll see lions with a kill, or cheetah hunting, or leopard with cubs. Because the lodge is located on the periphery of the Park, you also have the opportunity for guided nature walks with the resident naturalist or night game drives for an additional charge. Overnights at Keekorock LodgeDay 8 - 12 Tsavo/Nairobi/MalindiArise at dawn for an early morning game drive or perhaps end your safari with a spectacular hot-air balloon ride over the Tsavo After lunch you'll have a final game drive in the Tsavo as you make your way to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you'll be met and transferred for lunch at the Carnivor Restaurant and directly to Windsor Airport for your flight to Malindi. Dinner is on your tonight.
